I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I keep pushing the skill further by practicing new techniques and taking on challenging projects. Animals are where it all comes from. I have a deep respect for the creatures we share this planet with and I have spent hours upon hours watching different species varying from wild mustangs in Wyoming to elephants in South Africa. Witnessing their fearless and beautiful existence inspires me to capture their essence through my drawings.

I love using graphite. There’s just something so satisfying about making beautiful work out of something so ordinary — a pencil. Without color, all the attention goes to texture and pattern, to the contrast between light and dark. That’s where an animal’s personality actually lives, and it’s what I’m after in every piece.
