DESIGN

Systems that hold up under real use, designed to stay consistent wherever they show up.

I move fluidly between big-picture brand thinking and hands-on production, building cohesive brand experiences across print and digital for organizations I actually believe in.

Challenge

Translate business goals into a clear site structure while establishing a visual identity that builds trust and supports a professional, cohesive user experience.

Solution

I outlined the site architecture, navigation, and content strategy first, then created a brand identity to inform the visual direction. I designed and built a customized Bootstrap site with clear user flows, cohesive branding, and SEO-informed content to support discoverability and conversion.

A redesign of a standard 54-card deck from an abstract, conceptual perspective for a specific target audience.

Challenge

Reimagine a symbol system for the suit icons, and apply a coherent modular theme, visual style, and design approach unique to the deck.

Solution

I designed a deck tailored for adventurous young adults interested in nature and travel. The suit system uses geometric forms, symmetry, and a limited color palette for visual cohesion across all cards, with an emphasis on balance, repetition, and simplified iconography for readability at small scale. Reflective symmetry on the face cards supports functional gameplay while keeping a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

A cohesive set of branded materials for a marketing conference aimed at millennial professionals.

Challenge

Design a visually engaging identity that could translate across multiple formats while maintaining clarity and consistency.

Solution

I developed a bold visual system inspired by Y2K aesthetics, using strong typography, repetition, and color to establish a cohesive identity — applied across both print and digital materials while keeping visual energy and readability intact.

Logo and foundational brand identity for a home organizing business, for use across digital and print platforms.

Challenge

Create a logo that felt professional and approachable while staying flexible enough to work across a variety of applications and sizes.

Solution

Through an iterative process with client feedback, I refined a simple, balanced logo system with multiple variations for different use cases — focused on scalability, clarity, and spacing so the identity stayed consistent and functional across platforms.

“After gathering some information about my company and my goals, Monica created several preliminary logos for me to choose from. They were all amazing. I picked a logo, and she worked hard to fine tune it to meet my expectations and accurately depict what I am selling. She was professional, quick, and made sure all my needs were met!”
