I’ve loved drawing ever since I can remember and over the years, I have continued to develop my skills by regularly practicing different techniques and challenging myself with new projects.
My inspiration comes from the animal kingdom. I have so much respect for the creatures that roam around our planet, and I love being in their presence. I have spent hours upon hours watching different species varying from wild mustangs in Wyoming to elephants in South Africa. Witnessing their fearless and beautiful existence inspires me to capture their essence through my drawings.
My medium of choice is graphite pencil because I love being able to create beautiful works of art with such a common object. I think the simplicity of pencil is alluring and the absence of color allows the focus to fall on the details of texture and pattern through contrasting shades of gray. My intention is to use this contrast to show the striking diversity and personality of various animals.
